<\/i>Description<\/h4>NUUKSIO BIKE PARK <\/strong>opened its doors to mountain bike enthusiasts in August 2018. Riding in bike parks develops technical skills very quickly, as there is no need to pedal during downhill run. The lift helps you up the hill, and you save all your energy for decents.<\/p>\n

The idea of Nuuksio Bike Park is to develop a range of easy routes suitable for every mountain biker. Thus, there is no need for a separate downhill bike here. This is a very welcome idea in Helsinki metropolitan area, as not many mountain bikers actually own a separate DH-bike.<\/p>\n

At the moment, three routes have been completed at bike park (08.2018). One more is coming in the autumn.<\/p>\n

EASY RIDER<\/strong>: An easy route with lots of fun berms. The route was built to be ridden even with a XC-bike. After the test, the statement proves to be true! You can really enjoy this route only with short travel XC-bike.<\/p>\n

SNAKES ON THE PLANE:<\/strong> a middle difficulty route, which is steeper than the EASY RIDER. This adds more challenge. The turns are also tighter. There are also few small jumps on the route. I would recommend an enduro\/trail bike for this route. However, there is still no need for a DH-mashine here.<\/p>\n

NARNIA:<\/strong> A technical forest trail that is ideal for enduro bikes. Here you will find roots, rocks and technical downhill sections. However, in rainy weather the route is very slippery. I could not ride it without sliding all over the place in wet weather. It was so slippery and muddy, that I did not take a camera with me. During the dry conditions the traction is certainly different.<\/p>\n

Nuuksio Bike Park is located just half an hour drive from Helsinki. Address is: Nuuksiontie 71, 02820 Espoo.<\/strong> <\/p>\n

I recommend visiting the place, especially when there will be more routes available!
